In 1971, Danish teenager Anders Moesgaard, frustrated with the condition of his vinyl collection after a party, set out to find a solution. Unable to find a product, he began experimenting in his parents’ garage, creating AM's iconic first record cleaner - a product that sparked nearly 50 years of dedication to preserving the quality of sound.
Abbey Road has partnered with AM Denmark to launch a Vinyl Cleaning Kit featuring Abbey Road’s iconic vintage logo, created by project manager Alan Brown whilst working at the studios in the 1960s and 1970s. This is the perfect product for any vinyl lover.
It includes a 200 ml record cleaner, a microfiber cloth, a stylus cleaner, an anti-static vinyl brush and a canvas bag to store your products.
Designed to reduce surface noise, remove static, and improve sound fidelity, this collaboration celebrates both brands' dedication to exceptional audio experiences.
How it works
Spray the record cleaner directly on the record making sure not to wet the label.
Take the cotton cloth and gently wipe the record in a circular motion. Work your way inwards tracing out the circular line markings on the record.
Take the stylus cleaner and use the applicator to brush from the back of the stylus (the end nearest the cantilever) towards the tip.
Gently hold the fibres of the anti-static vinyl record brush in the grooves as the record spins to collect dust, particles and remove static build-up. After the record makes a full rotation, angle the fibres towards the outside of the record and carefully sweep the particles off the vinyl surface.
