The Pink Floyd 1973 Collection is a new and exclusive Abbey Road Studios x Pink Floyd collaboration coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the seminal The Dark Side of The Moon recorded at Abbey Road between 30 May 1972 – 9 February 1973. Inspired by the familiar personality and visual language that runs through the fabric of the iconic album, the artwork has been reimagined and carefully selected for each product to illustrate the story of The Dark Side of The Moon like never before.
Each detail of the long sleeve design pays tribute to the artistry and legacy behind The Dark Side of The Moon. The front features the year of the album’s release, 1973, with each number intricately representing one of the four band members: Gilmour, Mason, Waters, and Wright. Along the sleeve, Abbey Road Studios is elegantly inscribed, a subtle homage to the creative home where the album took shape. On the reverse, a remarkable touch of history: a faithfully reproduced handwritten extract from the original session sheet by Alan Parsons, captured on the first day of recording. Highlighting Studio Three, Parsons’ initials, and the band’s name, this authentic detail connects each wearer directly to the moment The Dark Side of The Moon began to take form within the walls of Abbey Road.
